Who Can Attend RYLA
RYLA brings together students from diverse educational backgrounds and experiences who demonstrate leadership potential.
Eligibility Requirements
- Rising High School Juniors and Seniors
- Leadership role or demonstrated interest in leadership development
Candidates may include:
- Relatives of Rotarians
- Foreign exchange students
- Previous RYLA participants or recipients
Students are selected by high school counselors and local Rotary Clubs.

The RYLA Experience
During RYLA, participants engage in meaningful discussions, hands-on workshops, and leadership activities designed to build confidence, communication skills, and personal insight.
Participants will:
- Share and explore new ideas
- Improve communication and relationship skills
- Learn leadership and business strategies
- Network with motivated peers and community leaders
- Explore personal values and self-awareness
- Learn about Rotary’s mission and service
